Nov. 21st, 2018

November has been an incredibly slow month for me for sewing, and because I haven't been sewing, I haven't been posting. I did some alterations last week for a Caroling company I've worked with in the past, and started on a new dress for one of the carolers. At this point, it is a waistband-less unhemmed skirt, and cut out bodice pieces. I have to finish the rest of it by Sunday evening, and I also have a couple alterations on a dress for a third caroler.

Most of my time has been spent in rehearsals for White Christmas, which opens on Friday. This has been a tough show! I'm not sure I've ever danced so much (or such complicated dances) in one show, so it's a new and fun challenge for me.

The nice thing I guess, is that rehearsals are making me really miss sewing for myself, so I'm hoping that next week, since I won't have rehearsals, I'll be able to start on a new project. I think I'm going to do my Princess Anna Once Upon a Bustle group project next. It's a wintery dress, and it will be nice to make it during winter. Of course, it's also the only thing on my to-sew list that I don't have the fabric for, but hopefully it won't be too hard to find.
