I actually sewed. A little.

I haven't had much time to sew in the last week, but I assembled all the lining pieces of the riding habit bodice. And I made the mock-up for my mom's Edwardian jacket (it's her Christmas present, but don't worry, she already knows!). I also made a small present for my mom and for my dad, which they don't know what it is yet. (And I know my mom sometimes reads this, so there will be no pictures until post-Christmas).

I'm flying down to CA on Thursday, and I'll be there for just over a week. Is anyone I know going to be at Dickens Faire this weekend? Because I will! I'm wearing the candy early bustle gown, except with my old hoops, since I'm pretty sure there's no way to get the cage crinoline in my suitcase... This trip will also explain the fact that no sewing will be occuring from me until I get back. And at that point, I think I might wind up starting in on my robe a la turque. I've been invited to an 18th c card party in mid-Jan, and the riding habit doesn't seem appropriate.
